Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren

We began with safety meetings about the wildlife in Alaska. What an absolutely beautiful place to serve. More pictures to come as we hike to a glacier after church today. 

We received the Lord's powerful word through pastor Nathan during church service this morning, teaching us about how powerfully our faith can grow when we know who we are in God and who Jesus is. The Lord is empowering us to do His will during this week.

We had a wonderful time of worship this morning with our new friends at Seward Nazarene. 

Our PPM staff took us on a hike to nearby Exit glacier. Along the way we could see signs dating back to the mid 1800s for when they began tracking the receding glacier. Some amazing views. 

Not only are the restrooms being restored, but also the church is being painted. There is much to do and we have plenty of hearts and hands willing to help.

We’re volunteering at the local senior center helping move things and paint. So much to do. 

Plumbing is being moved and we are texturing the walls. 

Only one way to determine this. 

Gluing, isolating, vacuuming and other processes still to be done as we get closer to the end of this week of service.

These benches had began to rust, so we're sprucing things up for the park.

What an amazing week! God has showed up in so many ways. We came to be a blessing to this church and they were truly a blessing to us. What a beautiful place to serve. So many fishing and hiking adventures capped off each day.  And literally, breathtaking views, no matter which direction you turn. May God richly bless this church and community.
