Monument of Love Baptist Church

On our way to Chicago, we stopped at Perkins Restaurant for food and to have a little fun playing Uno. Brian even won 2 games!

We enjoyed worshipping and hearing the sermon from Pastor Mark. Our worship team joined Julie in song and we sang with joy!

Revive Church and our team joined together to worship at the Chicago waterfront. We decided to sing and pray together for vision for this week. We certainly saw God moving throughout the day, but especially at the lake... God's creation is so magnificent. Who knew that there is a beach in Chicago?!?!?! 

After breakfast, our group was divided again to serve at New Community Church and Calvin Christian School. VBS is in full swing at NCC. The children enjoyed songs, activities and ice breaker. Math was also a vital part of this VBS.

Today was part 2 of pulling weeds and beautifying Lansing Christian School. It's a great reward to see how much was done!

Our service with New Community Church ended today with the culmination of VBS. The children were waiting on us as we entered the building. The theme for the week was dealing with water: Jonah and the Whale; then, Jesus walking on water. We prepared a special song for them, Deep Dive with dance movements. 

We ended the night worshipping with Dutilh Student Ministry and Revive Church. The sweetness of God was present.

We started the day with brunch at Portillo's! The hotdogs, fries, onion rings, cheese sauce, and desserts were so good. Chicago Hotdog!!!

The Sea Lion exhibit was interesting and well attended.

We're at the end of the week and head home tomorrow, we have grown as individuals and as a team. Our bond is stronger, the trust is deeper and the love is everlasting. Brian's presence with the team reminds us to look at things from a child's perspective from time to time; his impact is important and we love his free spirit. He is a member of the MOL mission team forever!
