Today we started our day visiting a new church that is located in one of the villages of El Jicaro. It’s so impressive to see how there are people on the mountains worshipping the Lord, so we joined them today.

We are back at El Jicaro! It was so amazing to see our friends again. Our kids received us with posters that had our names on them. It was so beautiful to see how the church was so happy to have us again. No doubt they are so good at welcome parties!

We had some time to play games with the kids in the mountain village and see their smiles! We also had a piñata and shared about the Prodigal Son.

We prayed over and with the church, and we were inspired by their passionate prayers. It was a long journey up the mountain and back to El Jícaro, but we were reminded how Jesus will go after the one - no matter how far!

During church, Sam shared a message about how we are called to carry our cross but we don't need to be afraid because Jesus has already done it. Abigayle and Ryan also sang for the church!

We really felt loved by the church as they welcomed us back this evening! With individual signs with our names, songs in English, a kids and dance performance, decorations, and many hugs, we feel like part of the family. Many church members remembered those of us who were here last year and asked about our friends who couldn't make it again this year!

We have two groups out visiting families this morning to share Christ's love, pray for them, and gift them some basic groceries to remind them that God has not forgotten them in their challenges.

During VBS this afternoon, we shared the story of Moses with a fun skit! We shared about how God sent Moses to set his people free, just as He sent Jesus to set us all free.

Tonight we divided into three different groups with the church members to spend time in conversation and encourage one another. Pastor Mark led the men's time.

The youth group, led by youth pastor Ryan, had good conversation about faith and some fun as well! We got to practice our Spanish numbers!

Our time with the women was both encouraging and heavy as we shared our struggles of motherhood with one another. We ended our time with prayer and hymns to recognize that only God is capable of saving our families and children.
