First Reformed Church of Pompton Plains

The team arrived safely at Crosswinds Community Church last night. We are looking forward to a week of service in North Carolina!

Before attending the service at Crosswinds Church this morning, we prayer walked in a local park. We prayed over topics such as the community, our mission, and our team. Taking time to be still and seek God like this is important for a good start to the week!

We took a trip to downtown Wilmington today. We had fun looking at the water and exploring the nearby shops!

Half of the group primed walls, installed a sink, and replaced a window in a mobile home today. We will be back tomorrow to do more renovations. 

Today we finished our work with the mobile home. The walls are painted, the interior has been cleaned, and the outside has been pressure washed. In a few weeks, this home will be delivered to a man whose house was damaged in a storm about 4 years ago. We hope our work will really bless him!

Half the group spent the week working at a home that had been heavily affected by mold. We did a deep clean and put in some new furniture. We were happy to help the man who lives there!

We are thankful for the time God set for us to pour into the community this week. Many of us learned more about God, this community, our teammates, and ourselves. We pray for the team’s efforts to have a lasting impact in the community.
